Book Talk Reflection. What stuck out to you today in class? Which books sounded most interesting? Which book do you think you will choose for this quarter?

Overall, I like everyone’s presentation. A few people’s book talk really stuck out to me. I think Lani did a great job on her book talk with her concise but detailed summary. The book Soebeen chose also seems very interesting because I feel like I can relate to many parts of it.

I’m planning to read Shoe Dog for this quarter. I’m glad Reynn gave Shoe Dog a 10/10 and his positive comments about this book. I’ve actually started reading this book already because I found this book at the airport bookstore before my 17 hours flight back to Singapore.

  1. Sabrina! What a coincidence! I’m also leaning towards shoe dog to read for the fourth quarter, and I completely agree with you. I think that Reynn and many other presenters who read shoe dog did such a good job presenting on it and convinced many more people to read it as well! I also agree with you that Lani did a really good job presenting. She made her story seem interesting and gave a very well done, vivid summary. I look forward to reading whatever book I decide on this next quarter.

  2. Hi Sabrina, I’m glad that Shoedog sounded interesting to you. It’s a really great book and I’m sure that you will enjoy it. It’s great that you have started already, because it is a little long, but it’s definitely worth it. I agree and felt that everyone did a great job of presenting today. I haven’t chosen which book I want to read yet, but they all sound like good options.
