- student should focus on the educational environment instead
- They way students dress may show their social class, thus some students might get bullied due to that
- Dress code doesn’t really teach students how to dress in the real world and this will not help students during work interviews and jobs because every job has a different dress code too.
- Dress code do not facilitate learning
- Harder for students to get ready for school
- Potentially create gender and cultural bias
- Might force students to wear clothing that’s not fashionable
- Students should use their own common sense to decide what’s appropriate to wear
Why dress code
- Supposed to let students learn how to dress properly
- Maintain a proper/ positive educational environment
- Let students be disciplined
- Teaches students conformity and obedience to authority
- Reduces distractions
